We would like to thank everyone for their continued concern and prayers on behalf of Chris Trickle. As reported in recent media, Chris has been upgraded to "stable" condition. You may ask, what does this mean exactly? While Chris is still in a coma, his vital signs are strong and he does seem to respond to sound, light and touch. He has movement in his arms and legs, often stretching full out. He is opening his eyes and, even though he is not conscious, seems to follow movement with them. He is scheduled to be removed from the ventilator very soon. The next step is to help Chris continue to improve. Those of you that know Chris know that he is a fighter and would not be content to "lay around" all day when things need to be done. His parents, Barbara and Chuck, have decided to move him to an aggressive rehabilitation facility in California where he will be challenged to go the next mile through therapy and exercise. As we receive news of Chris' condition we will continue to give updates. We know that many of you will not be able to visit or call as often with this move. Be assured, that as we have news to post we will. We appreciate the tremendous support from family and friends, Las Vegas residents and racing fans around the country. There are so many people to thank, too numerous to list. People who brought food to the hospital during those first few difficult weeks, who took care of the family's animals or made phone calls. Those who joined the family in prayer circles each night and those who brought propane to the motor home set up in the parking lot as a base and would take no payment. Those that wrote letters or called or visited and those who held fund raisers. The doctors and health care professionals who continue to support and help Chris and his family. Our sincere thanks go to all of you, you know who you are... and so do we. Yet, the person who is responsible for this tragedy has not been found. No one has come forward with information to answer the questions of how and why. In an effort to apprehend this person, America's Most Wanted will air a segment on the incident on April 26th. Again, we urge you, if you have any information, however insignificant it may seem, please call Secret Witness at ( 702) 385-5555 or Metro Homicide at (702) 229-3521. A $35,000.00 reward has been posted for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. As we said, we will update information as it is available. On the Internet you can check the Trickle Racing website at trickle.com, trickleracing.com or Star Nursery at starnursery.com. Thank you for your continued support and concern. |
